Years ago, Demeyere developed the Silvinox surface treatment that is still unique and currently developed TriplInduc, a 7-Ply Material® (thickness adjusted to the typical cooking process), Inductoseal and ControlInduc. All recent, world class innovations. Not to mention Demeyeres stainless steel handles, that remain sufficiently cool, even after hours of cooking!
Suitable for all cookers
Most Demeyere products can be used in the oven* and on conventional cookers, such as electricity and gas, but they are also suitable for halogen, AGA, ceramic and induction cookers.
Because of their design and form of "cast" 18/10 stainless steel, the handles mostly remain sufficiently cool on electric cookers. They are developed to maximise the heat conduction so you can easily hold them (50°C or 120°F). Watch out for gas cookers ... flames lapping the edge of the base can heat up the handles. The handles are cast out of "massive" stainless steel and are even more hygienic. No water stays behind when washing up.
Demeyere 7-Ply Material
Demeyere's multilayer products (frying pans/skillets, conical sauté pans, simmering pans and woks) use 7-Ply, a unique technology consisting of 7 alloys including stainless steel and an aluminium core.
The layers are formed over the bottom and the side of the pans. This technology guarantees that the heat is spread evenly over the whole surface of the pan right up to the rim hence complying with the specific requirements and features needed for frying, making sauces, stir-frying in a wok, slow-cooking, simmering etc.

This is why Demeyere developed TriplInduc, a material that assures that these cooking utensils may be used on all types of heat sources and that you can switch from one type to the other at any time. With its excellent magnetic properties TriplInduc leads to 30% more efficiency when using induction cooking. Finally, the bottom will not deform and remains flat, even after years of use.
